This barn owl was my first attempt at painting an owl, and I really enjoyed the process from start to finish. The lighting was the part I focused on most—capturing the warm glow coming through the barn boards and letting it spill across the scene. Working with those tones and building the atmosphere around the owl was genuinely fun, and it made the whole piece come together in a way that felt really rewarding to paint.
