Throughout the years, I had the chance to create posters for roller derby teams and events in cities all over, and no matter where the project was, I always made the main character my own creation, “Cherry Bomb” (notice the tattoo). She became a kind of mascot for my work, showing up in different styles and stories with each new poster. Over time, she even started to get recognized in the derby world, which was really cool to see. It was one of those unexpected creative through-lines that made the whole experience even more special.
